Screw COVER Corporation, they are grossly incompetent and a hindrance to their own success.
In two years of watching VTubers, here's all the retarded shit I've seen COVER do:
>Time-limited permissions
>Branch-limited permissions
>Permissions you have to ask for every time you stream
>Management sandbagging permission requests
>Management physically losing permission forms
>Insane loophole system for karaoke permissions (has to be unarchived, has to be in a specific list, has to have a custom backing track)
>Near complete lack of communication between the EN branch and upper management
>EN being scheduled for meetings in the middle of the night, rather than a time that would be convenient for both NA and JP
>Widespread cancellation of talents' projects
>Cancellation of their own internal projects, scrapping the work of talents they had brought on and lowering their morale
>Dogshit management of EN song covers and originals
>Dogshit management of EN VSinger
>Antiquated L2D software that the streamers constantly waste time fighting with
>Inexistent quality control for L2D avatar rigging
>Rolls out extremely basic tech at a snail's pace despite boasting about having 100+ employees ("We can only update 4 of our talents' avatars every 3 months.")
>Nonsensical, out-of-touch decisions from JOP management (katakana keychains for the EN branch, introducing Omega)
>A significant portion of merch is low-quality cash grabs (nonstop deluge of keychains, buttons, clear files, and acrylic stands)
>Offers no tech support despite being a tech/streaming company
>Won't even provide streamers with a performant computer if they don't already have one, letting them stream for months on laggy hardware
>Zero support or interest in the EN branch from upper management, despite EN being their most popular streamers for an entire year and still remaining top earners
>Generally won't invest money back into the streamers themselves despite streamers being their only source of revenue (they'll sell you a talent's merch at a con, but fuck giving said talent any kind of support for their actual projects)
>Wastes budget on shovelware-quality game projects (Hololive ERROR, HoloEarth)
Is COVER a black company? No! Black companies are malicious and exploitative. However, COVER is (I believe) extremely incompetent.
