>>28111797>>28136334Yeah, there is a double-edged nature to nepotism, if it happens to work out people defend it as "that's just networking / that's how the real world works" etc and other nebulous bullshit. Out of all industries, showbiz works a ton off of getting people into important positions through knowing the right people in the right places. In Hollywood you can be a true actual nobody but start getting parts in big movies if you just-so-happen to be friends with an actor or director etc. So the existence of nepotism in Cover, which fundamentally works in an internet form of showbiz, really shouldn't surprise anyone at all and had clearly been there since the earliest earliest days. A-chan was just Sora's IRL friend FYI and is one of the most powerful and respected people in Cover. Sometimes it really -does- work out nicely in some cases, because the extra personal connection of someone like A-chan also ties her into caring more about the company's stake and future because it's also important to her friend (not to mention herself).
So then why did Sana seem to have no extra magic motivation to succeed and help HoloEN (and herself) out, why didn't she seem pumped to take over the vtuber world with her and her decades-long buddy Ina? Not only that but Sana seemed to have way less motivation/interest manifesting only 3 months in, when the Dogdied Arc happened. It's like not only was she not particularly keen on it but hardly even did anything with Ina. On the surface from the only dots we can actually see, it looks like she just never cared about Holo and it was a mistake to give the position to someone who didn't actually want it. That probably still holds, but there probably are things we don't know that would explain it better, like maybe she and Ina had a falling out or something (which thus would kill her motivation to work alongside her in Holo) etc. But, we just don't know. If she actually was AO and then AO magically shows back up in Ina's chat after Sana leaves, maybe that'd be a good explanation, that Sana is Cover staff and already was busy with other shit in the background. Guess we'll see.
