>>28178986You don't really need Quebec. but you're right that generally a Prime Minister has to speak both English and French (although Cretien could barely speak English). Conservatives had a majority government when Quebec mostly elected NDP (left party, more left than the Liberals generally, for Americans). Only a few seats in Quebec went Conservative.
That said, if you CAN get Quebec (and Ontario too) you can rule without caring about the other parts of the country. This is the strategy the Liberal Party used to stay in power especially when the Progressive Conservatives and Reform were splitting the votes with most centre-right votes in the West going Reform and a few in the far East of the country going PC.

Like, instead of guarding your identity (with some exceptions like the dead dragon and the soon to be dead Mori) you shove your meat body in peoples faces, instead of focusing on entertaining people you inject divisive politics in everything (I saw some that I think were Nijis talking about "Pride" and abortion.).
