Western vtubers aren’t palatable to the general public and hololive is still a Japanese company.

That said whatever Capcom paid they got thousands of hours of streaming and tens of millions of views on Monster Hunter alone. It will be tough to break out to a broader audience though. Anime girls are still a filter for most people outside of Japan.

They'll just use a Final Fantasy/CodeMiko style semi-realistic character. KFC already came kinda close with that time they made Sanders a younger 3D model on instagram, I wouldn't be surprised if they just brought this model back out to do streams

The biggest vtubers don't really pull in that much money in the eyes of a corporation. Pair that with big companies usually not willing to ever take many risks
