>>28384349You don't understand the hearts of men. That's not something that can come from a woman. When it does, it's a condescending rejection. The only one who can actually inspire a man to improve himself is a man who's been in the same position, did improve himself, and succeeded for reasons entirely related to having improved himself rather than mere circumstance. Men are led by example, and Watson isn't a man. That's what she apparently didn't realize.
Or to put it simply, men and women are not equals, nor are we treated equally by society, nor are women treated worse by society. So for Ame to talk to her male fans as if they're her equals or betters, and equally or more capable of achieving just as she has, that's a full on case of privelege blindness. In turn, the entire message backfired and made her seem arrogant, because she as a woman had no right to say it in the first place.
tldr A woman's place isn't to be a male self improvement guru. The best a woman can do is support and inspire a man with kindness and hope.
Ame did the exact opposite, and is rightfully getting shit on for not understanding anything about real world gender dynamics. But considering there's been an entire sphere of online content focused on analyzing and drawing conclusions from it for over 10 years as an answer to the propaganda permeating western culture, politics and entertainment, there really isn't any excuse at this point for anyone not knowing what the score currently is.
The best advice I could give any female chuba with a male audience is not to make assertions, assumptions or demands of that audience. Try to keep in mind that you aren't a man, don't truly have the lived experiences to understand men, and have no adequate frame of reference for what any group of men can or can't do.
