Live translations have been a thing for years on Youtube. Holodex is one of many solutions that allows LiveTLs to appear on screen as subtitles. All they did was take existing technology and incorporate(heh) it directly into the stream itself because twitch is a bad platform. Also, either her translator is bad or they are reading off different scripts.

Youtube cucked us out of official fansubs of VODs when they took away the ability to have approved subbers submit captions for videos. There was literally no reason to take that feature away because you couldn't even use it to troll, but it's just another example of youtube being gay for no reason.

Yeah, that was really fucking bad. Came at a pretty horrible time too, when the vtubing scene started to pop off. I believe now there's a subtitle and editor role that you can give people, but then they also get access to bits of your channel. So they would never give that to anyone.
