The differences in the designs of the logos is actually genius. HoloEN is clean and inoffensive, the corporate golden goose and the public darling. StarsEN is pure SOUL, graffiti inspired, scuffed but easy going and energetic. It's fantastic from a marketing perspective

It's actually the corporation called "Cover", which then branches down to the "Hololive Productions", which then forks down into "Hololive Entertainment" (The girls branch) and "Holostars" (the boys branch) both. I don't know if that's because they wanted to cope with the "holostars is hololive" thing or if it's a sneaky little permissions trick.

From what I remember of what they said during the merge it was so that everyone would have the same permissions for games and other media (website like duolingo for example)
That and at the time it was also a way to merge whatever AZKI and Suisei were in.

Later, all of those became subsidiaries of Hololive Production. Hololive and Holostars used to be almost completely separate agencies, but not since this change which made them branches of the Hololive Production agency.
