Honestly why did they even bother doing this.
It's a waste of everyone's time.
It's a branch nobody needed. The girls are now gonna be stuck with guys around, damned if they collab with them damned if they don't, they're stuck on that bad spot.
The fans have to deal with the looming threat of the guys showing up at big collabs.
And the guys and their fans have to deal with the same bullshit as JP holostars, being second class to the girls and forever coping.
Literally NO ONE wins from having Holostars EN.
Cover should have just given up the male vtuber market to NijiEN and focused on securing the girl market instead.

The two femboys appeal to a new demographic so they will stand out, the brown mommy milkers girl has her audience guaranteed already and the other girl has braid and glasses so she will appeal to those with a sort of librarian fetish.

The design is ugly but if you wanted it to at least look okay, it's not that hard. Fan artists and the manga kind of salvaged it. The problem is everything about it is too extra. If the halo and tje the weird spike earrings were tossed it would be more salvageable. I'm sure the face proportion can be fixed and if he never shows from shoulder down it would look okay.

But everything about this design is just ugly.
