That's an apt description of the current state of vtubing at the moment. At least for the top companies, Hololive and Nijisanji.
What I mean by this is that the current situation for Hololive *appears* to be "concerning". They have had currently 3 of their members leave. Two of those being the top earners for Hololive.
Nijisanji on the other hand has had frequent expansion fo the English branch. Regardless of their mass graduations and release of dozens of talents they have struck gold with their male English members. Hololive on the other hand seems doomed to "fail", with their new HolostarsEN branch receiving mocking comments about the design.
