the smaller the fanbase is the less entrances so gatekeeping just cuts off everyone and eventually people move on without someone to replace them.

in vtubings case most of us came in around after step 4 for the founding members, and anyone who posts this chart at this point are part of the group that pushed out the last group that pushed out the one before them and ect ect because its cyclical.
