I have a dresser that has roller shelving that's situated against the wall of the room and everytime I walk past it, the top two drawers open by themselves.
The reason for this is because by walking past it, I put downward force on the floor which slightly deforms it temporarilly, causing the dresser next to me to lean by an imperceptible amount. However the momentum from the dresser leaning is enough to cause the drawers to slowly open because of the lack of friction on the shelves due to the rollers.
If I were stupid, I would assume that a ghost was opening my drawers because they open so slowly that I wouldn't even notice they opened until a few minutes later.
