I mean I got into vtubers since I find the mix of fiction and real time spontaneity very interesting, sadly most are just normie girls with an avatar, nothing "virtual" or fictional about it. Very few take advantage of it like the Omega sisters throwing their heads off like volleyballs.
I agree that TTS is monotonous as fuck, but if there was no value on it, Hatsune Miku wouldn't be a thing.
