To the straight guys here: If one of the big corpos offered you a position where you are basically expected to pander to fujos, would you do it? Or would you maintain your dignity and become an indie brotuber?

I don't think I could do it. I don't mind the idea of hanging out with some other weeb guys but I just don't have the heart to pretend I want to suck their dicks. But maybe I could find the strength if the paycheck was fat enough.

For me it's more about using entertainment as an avenue to see my childhood home than anything else. So, while I'm not exactly the bfe type I'm not gonna say sure babe roll around in flour so I can find the wet spot. I'd rather just be myself and use the character provided to let things happen naturally. Who cares if I'm not the most popular. I want to try.

If I make significantly more money by pandering and providing BFE I'd do it, there's no real reason to turn down the money and all you want to do is be really friendly with the other guys. People are mistaken when they think you need to act like a hardcore fag when that's not really a requirement.

you don't need to do any of this, you just need to have a relatively well drawn human looking model and have male friends that you minimally get along with on stream every now and then.
i suppose if you have an ugly or non human model it'd be a fujo repellant but you'd also be flopping. if that's your thing i respect it.

Worth it. Having a hypothetical fanbase filled with bros and free from cancer, no matter how small, is something I'd like to think I'd be proud of. After all, fans reflect the streamer. The ability to be proud of one's fans...is something popular vtubers often seem to lose out on.

I tried several times but didn't get rejected/accepted or whatever. Just nothing. Now that I know what they're looking for I'm hesitant to get my hopes up again. I certainly can't handle YouTube on my own without a manager willing to dropkick them if something funny happens.
It's such a good setup for someone like me. You talk, people respond in text which I could read. I'd have tried my best. I'd play pretty much anything. Buy kill counters in Tf2 and have journey to Hales Own, play horror games where I'm not fazed by sounds. I love RPGs too.
I'm kind of in that middle ground haze, coping with knowing I never had a chance in the first place. Honestly I would have done my best. I don't get to talk a lot. I'd have liked the social interaction.

Yes because I'm too much of a menhera to be a brotuber
If you get too sentimental or go menhera as a brotuber you start gathering faggots instead and I do not ever want to be in a position where faggots are my core demographic
