>>29411585dealing with hate is a hard thing no matter if you genuinely care or not because in the end words, especially if said by many people, can hurt. what i mean by she "doesn't care" is that she doesn't interact with them as individuals, rather the group that they are. and she vents out any frustrations through her music, that doesn't mean that the words hold her down - she's able to move past them and continue her career because she genuinely loves what she does and is an ambitious person. people will call her fat, white trash, and various other things but she knows there are many people out there who don't care and don't think those things. not to say yes-men are good, you need to be criticized in order to grow, but she has the ability to know when something is completely malicious, and when something is actually an important thing that she needs to fix or deal with. she's not a complete fucking idiot, more just airheaded. it doesn't help that most of /vt/ believes that anorexic japanese women who have never seen a man in their lives are the only women that have the right to exist. a lot of them don't even see vtubers as people because of their anime girl mask, and the fact that calli is so non-discreet about her identity ruins that for many people because they like the guise of innocence and the idea that she isn't real and is purely a fictional character. calliope mori isn't a real person, there is no grim reaper working under death who is a cute anime girl that raps, but there is a person who plays that part to entertain - and people fail to recognize that maybe you should care about her.
of course someone will respond to this with "she isn't real she's a whore" etc. but i don't care, this is my take on things.
