In a way they are but in a way they aren't. Years before Holo PekoMiko were best friends possibly even more( I'll never take my meds on this theory). And AmeSame knew of eachother or knew the same people. PekoMiko also had a yearly tradition of off collabs and for a long time the only person Peko counted on was Miko. Also the reason for the distance noone really knows what happened with PekoMiko but AmeSame it's because Ame didn't want to be seen as Gura's sidekick. And I don't think there was ever a point where Gura or Ame refused to acknowledge one another like PekoMiko.

Kiara usually initiates it with Ame flirting back in response, and most of their exchange were done on Twitter. Now, how often does Gura use Twitter again?

I have never see Gura as being flirty towards Ame anyway, if she was it was probably during the early stage of 2020.
What matters more to me is that if they do collab, is their dynamic still the same? And so far I'm have not been disappointed yet.
They will be appearing together in a panel for the Crunchyroll Expo, while most of you will be crying that it's company-mandated and thus doesn't count, I will be focusing on how they interact with each other during the segment.
