I think it's time we all address the elephant in the room. Vtuber culture is pretty fucked up. You've got to admit that these parasocial relationships are generally unhealthy and that the recipient who is showered with affection nd monetary gain can at any moment cut the link and decide to fuck off forever leaving people without any form of relationship.
Double so because the Vtuber fans tend to be people who don't have that many connections to begin with. It's not normal, it's unhealthy.
