>>29881239Its just the way the mofo talks and exaggerates his mannerism, basically a caricature of himself which can come across as too childish and stupid. Since you can't see Vesper mannerism and rely only on his voice, you feel he is more genuine. Him being an actual anime boy helps.
In true, and this is something an actor told me, the point of said exaggerations is to have a character on screen so the audience can attach to it. It doesn't matter if said character is just you with a mustache on it, the audience needs to believe its a new entity just for the sake of the suspension of belief. Because the way Mark plays himself and is an actual human, some brains short-circuit trying to decipher his "character" because they can't go past the idea that he is an actual human being, instead of a "character", and feel that he is fake or unnatural.
For example, I really didn't like Regis on debut even thought I liked his design the most and he is pretty fun overall, just because the dude ran his debut like the most artificial and corporate-mandated shit ever, even though he was just nervous; it soured me so much that the only thing I've watched of him was the lastest L4D2 stream. Its some instinctual shit out of many the brain does unnecessarily when trying to enjoy entertainment.
