>>30279915It is a false equivalence in the sense that taking up a fictional persona is what vtubers do, so it is expected of her not to use her real name and pretend to be whatever her role happens to be (e.g. a pink rabbit).
Breaking kayfabe and bringing their own real life into the equation - although it is something pretty much all vtubers end up doing (and part of the reason for their popularity, since people are not 'just' interested in the persona) - is not something that is explicitly expected of vtubers and not an explicit part of their job. It is this aspect of intimacy, where the kayfabe breaks, which fuels the parasocial relationship from which akasupas are made of though, and if you deliberately guide your audience of lonely men into becoming more parasocial because you pretend to be just like them, then that's an immoral act - there's no way around it.
Certainly, it may not be entirely guided by rational calculation but also by autism, insecurity and not knowing what is expected of you, which is why I wouldn't blame her too much, but it's still a shitty thing to do and not owning up to it is not going to help.
So I can only emphasise: if you actually do care about her reputation, stop debating with me about this subject and let it go, since it will otherwise come up again and again and not go away. The gachis will ignore it and stop caring over time - as long as it's not being brought up again and again, which is exactly what you're achieving by having this debate.
