are vtubers actually sincere or are they just emotionally manipulating their fanbase? I'm starting to have doubts with this hobby

Its a job. What do you think? If someone told me that my views and income will triple by pandering to unicorns/fujos, or by playing borins ass FOTM games I would jump on that train in a second.
