I think the best type of " yaoibait " is no actual yaoibait. Just guys being friendly, funny and boyish would give most fujos more heartthrobs than excessive gay sex jokes. Hell, just look at shounen manga, the most popular gay ships ever come from MHA, Naruto and other shows which are just dudes being dudes.
That's why I ended not liking EN that much, idk if they changed. But if people enjoy such things it's good for them
