The concept of digital entertainers existed before vtubers and it will exist after vtubers. They're a fad that comes and goes with the popular masses. To be upset at this is to be upset at Hatsune Miku, or Max Headroom. Of course you don't have to *like* it, but to say it'll ruin vtubing is to have an embarrassingly narrow concept of the medium you're partaking in.
