Like, most of her Outer Wilds playthrough bar the 4th episode was fairly competent for her, not overly so, but for the most part she was doing well (let's ignore some of those rough landings though). There's a sense of pride that swells up seeing your little dumb girl do well, it makes you want to pamper her. You don't get that if she's always smart and you don't get it if she's always retarded either.
On a more serious note, she's also painfully adorable when she's just talking about things she knows and loves, like fishies and sound design.
