Whenever I talk to one of these cosplayers at these things, the conversation usually ends up with joint affirmation that yes, it's totally fine for someone to be stupid into their oshi, and yes, if there's ever an opportunity to support each other in those efforts, mutual support will exist to make that happen, and then off we each go. Very fun to see the dedication is similar across the aisle.
