Its marked as Hololive because Hololive is the dominant power in the industry, its similar to how Nintendo was in the 90s where people would called video games "Nintendos" even if it wasn't a Nintendo product. The same thing is being seen here where Hololive is being equated to all vtubers

People buy this shit, they buy knock-offs, simply to have it. Even more people would buy it if it were legit.
Look at that one person that was shouting about wanting Mios hoodie for years.
There's so many of these manufacturer-to-order services that are cheap as fuck, make-to-order, assemble-to-order, whatever other names they have. There's loads of them from clothes to electronics.
You make a limited stock order purchase for the first run of a product, then you put it on make-to-order afterwards or if it is obscenely popular, you buy another batch of stock. It's the perfect system with minimal waste.

This is just Aniplus on Busan Korea, the line is crazy long. The one in Seoul must be much much more.
Each person spend at least $100 minimum for merchs, they even spend more since Vtuber fans tend to be middle and upper class.
Look at Holo smallest Vtuber Iofi, her merchs sold out in a single day even when they anticipate tons of sales.
Don't forget their brand deals with Sega, Taco Bell, Racing events, Baseball league etc etc.
Sega made Korone their ambassador
Racing event merchs sold out in the first day as well
They made a whole baseball season with HololJP girls.

Oh for sure they have a lot of merch out there, but they could do so much more.
They are missing out on money from things people would actually want to use instead of sit in cases or plaster over walls in their mancave.

This is unironically why Mumei's birthday merch was one of (the?) fastest selling ever. All of the items are subtle and practical, you can actually use them in public without looking like a fucking weeb. This is the reason I never buy merch usually, I wish there were more tasteful designs.

I'm a unity boy, but I've gotta say I think this really illustrates the major problem within Nijisanji. They invest so little into their own talents and almost treat them like vaporware and charge way to much for shit predatory chachkie products/voicepacks which reveals their insidious corporate nature. Like Hololive has its own problems, but Any Color continuously demonstrates their attitude towards both for their employees and fans as disposable trash. If they don't give Obsydia new outfits before the end of the year that's proof enough of how shitty they are. Love some of the talents, fucking hate the company itself.
