All of Edengumi ended up disappointing ,except for Oliver who debuted as a vanilla bilingual sensei and stayed that way but the other four felt like they had a lot more potential and just failed to deliver on it.

I mean, keep in mind when they debuted and how explosive they were when they came to the scene. Leo's literally trended ahead of the Olympics in Japan. All of them (except Oliver) looked like heavy hitters during their first two weeks, especially since the wave that came before them (Selejo) were unmitigated flops after getting BTFO by Gen 5 and basically signalled the turning point of when Hololive started laying claim to the #1 vtuber company title. Edengumi in those first two weeks legit made people feel like Nijisanji finally found their golden generation. Of course after koshien, the tourist left and they settled into the mid tier of Nijisanji with Lain being in 3 view territory more often than not.

Its the truth though, anonchama. Edengumi legitimately had the biggest debut in Nijisanji at the time. Hell, if you exclude Salome, they would still have the strongest two week start in Nijisanji history. Whether you like it or not, that kind of start will get people talking and give them very high expectations.
