This. Phase is still pretty far from holo/niji/vshojo tier. Heck they are still some ways off from the other JP corpos or even some of the sea corpos. But they are doing the best in the EN small corpo thing and I am rooting for them. I think they have potential to do better and grow more.

Neither of those things are a requirement to be a vtuber agency. The fact they operate differently from Holo/Niji just means there's more than one viable model in the vtuber space.

Phase Connect is the small market team trying to compete with mega market teams like the New York Yankees', Real Madrid's, Los Angeles Lakers' etc of the world

Maybe one day, but they just need to keep working and chipping away and keep doing things the right way. Don't expand things again for a while.

My biggest fear is that one day Sakana is given an offer he cant refuse and sells out of the blue. It would kill the company because a new vision would completely change what makes Phase great.

Holo, Niji and now Vshoujo all managed to have successful EN and JP branches. Phase is certainly ahead of the rest of the small corpos but their JP branch will always be a bit of a stain like early Holostars JP or NijiKR.

There's Phase Connect. If you like /here/chuubas that pander really hard to /vt/ then it's what you want, half of them do that
There's prism project, small and comfy but honestly half of them are kinda boring
There's atheria (formerly cyberlive) that's not really even an agency anymore. Only real drama free ones at this point are Pandora and Chapipi
There's this new group amber something, I watched one of their chuubas and it was mind numbingly boring
There's also Tsunderia which honestly I didn't even know still existed until just now
My recommendation: stick to hololive or find indies you like

Imagine Rosemi collabing with Tsunderia, that would be awkward.
But most of Tsunderia is new people now. The remaining talents all debuted after Ria already left. And the management has been totally replaced. She might not even know anyone over there anymore
