Some people really hate it, so it depends on the person. Basically, you'd have to be really good friends with someone enough to understand their sense of humor before you say stuff like your mom jokes or imply they were raped by they're dad or something.
Just look up "your mom jokes" or "your mom's dildo has arrived" in google and maybe you'll start to see some of the humor in it.
In the context of Vox and Sonny, it's more like playful banter just used to get a rise out of the other person. Vox would never say that kind of stuff to Sonny's mom's face, for example. The reason is the insult wasn't dirrected at her and if she were to ever hear it, Vox would probably be really embarrassed and be made fun of for it.
If the Chinese want to enjoy the content that people from other parts of the world create, they should attempt to learn their culture before becoming angry and calling for the head of someone over something they don't understand.
