If yesterday proved to be a day in the spotlight for the rookies, then today had to be a day in the spotlight for the sophomore drivers in IndieCar. An all-Chevy sophomore podium sweep at Trenton, and a double-podium for those drivers at Brands Hatch (with Moriko Kyoho taking part in both podiums!), both having to be major highlights for today's races. That still doesn't mean the more experienced drivers in the roster couldn't have their say, as Kagura Mea jumps to the championship lead after winning at MoSport and defending champion Nachoneko grabbed her 4th IndieCar win at Brands Hatch.
So, thus ends the first weekend of action for this series. We're back again with two more ovals and a roval (!) for the next three rounds on Saturday, hopefully at our usual 11 AM start time. We've got high-speed, high-banked action at Kansas Speedway, a test of half-speed, half-endurance on the old Talladega road course, and wishes being made true at the Walt Disney World Speedway. See you all again next weekend~
