It used the be the case that if every single member of nijiEN streamed at the same time, the max combined viewers would never exceed 8k. That was the absolute maximum for the entire branch. Selen's birthday stream got the highest total ever with 8.4k.
Now Pomu is averaging 3.5k, which is insane. They're starting to generate streams that hit 8k or even above 10k on a semi-regular bases, even without the help of the boys. The popularity growth is huge. The hololive fans are unironically threatened by them now, which is insane to think about.
It used to be that hololive EN would never get below 10k on any of their streams. NijiEN had 1/5 of their viewers at best (although roughly the same donations, surprisingly). Now NijiEN is getting only 1/3 of their viewers.
