No you didn't. You can only SC $500 USD or a close equivalent when factoring in currency conversion. You'll frequently see people SC using all sorts of monopoly money though, and it usually has a lower barrier to get an akasupa out of it to make 3rd worlders feel better about only being able to donate the equivalent of a cup of coffee or whatever. Argentina only needs like $15 USD to get an akasupa.
