It's also a different time, as odd as that sounds. When the first generation of stars debuted Hololive was still nominally an idol group and more or less subject to idol mores. Oga himself has mentioned how tricky this was, and still is to some extent, to work around and how it's closed some doors for them. Now though Hololive's an entertainment company and hardcore unicorns aren't as big a part of their global audience as was feared.
