I like the idea that this saplings dosen't even like emo music. Fauna just decided one day to dress them up in old Panic! t-shirts and studded collars because she thinks they looked cuter that way. She'd do their guyliner, make them wear black lipstick, dye their hair black with a skunk stripe.
Then the sapling goes out in public and gets constantly bullied for it, but they can't just stop wearing it. Not without mommy's permission. So then they start crying, and that just makes their bullies think they're even more emo.
And the cycle continues.
