Three crashfests in three races today! After a relatively clean race at Kansas, the finish, and Nemu's first race win, was marred by a finish line crash involving several drivers. The opposite was had at Talladega's road course, as almost the entire field was involved in a massive collision at the bus stop chicane in the opening lap... but only two ended up retiring from the race and the rest of the round ended up relatively clean. Then there were several incidents at the Mickyard, but that's typical short oval shenanigans for you.
So, after sweeping both short oval races this series, Hinata has a whopping 56 point lead over Mea heading into the final three races of this series. We wrap up August with two street races and a superspeedway. First, it's a test of attrition at the 1.4-mile San Jose circuit, next, it's one more trip back to the past at Ontario Motor Speedway, finally, a championship will be decided at Manhattan, if not earlier. Will Hinata make it a done deal and get that gold star, or will Mea, Tenjin Kotone, or someone else make it big at the end? Tune in tomorrow at 11 AM EST for the finale, and have a great rest of your Saturday!
