>>31883289Nah friend, she be tellin' the truth. A candid indie who shoots from the cuff also talked about how vtubers are looking to hook up with other streamers. The issue is usually not setting reasonable expectations, then springing it on your fans that you're openly fucking around with (wo)men all of a sudden. Those are the ones who deserve to be roped, since they're actively defrauding people with the false promise of not pulling a "nothing personal." Even myth's garth brooks was supposedly revealed to be guilty of this shit, and a number of vtubers don't seem to understand that the mask is something you're supposed to become and live by instead of simply putting it on. Even if you're not showing your face, your brand as a vtuber is still literally (You). And if (You) are a whore, your character will be seen as one too.
tldr A lot of vtubers need to grow up and stop acting like this is a larp. It's not. There is no real separation between chuba and person. The chuba may be a performance, but the person's actions reflect on the chuba (and vice versa, albeit to a lesser degree). And if that person thinks it's A-OK to start their brand off without mentioning that they're perfectly OK with male collabs, especially when they debuted AFTER Mori and Kiara already did male collabs (thereby necessitating clarification), then going back on the implicit assumption they won't be doing them is a valid reason to call that person a duplicitous shitter.
Sometimes, honesty really is the least shameful policy. Otherwise, if backstabbing fan expectations isn't penalized, fans can only ever assume that all holos are lying whores by default. This is the reality of not properly policing unseisou conduct, and it's a stain on every hololive vtuber's reputation from here on out.
