>>31904931numbers are hard reality. people like to pretend they don't matter but they do. if numbers didn't matter Youtube would promote everyone equally. nobody would get special plaques or deals for hitting milestones etc. what I'm specifically referring to with that stream is that it's an important barometer to gauge actual intrerest in her.
mori used to pull like 10k doing anything, even playing RPGmaker games on a craptop. why? people just liked her and wanted to hang with her, the game hardly mattered. she had, HAD, an aura of immense humility and gratitude about her (including to fans and Hololive) because she was a nobody living in a closet and Holo saved her ass and it was like a charming feel-good cinderella story. that feeling's all gone now and she takes things utterly for granted, this game to a head with the connor/lean shit half a year back.
she's lost 75% of that goodwill she used to garner and has to nonstop rely on gimmicks to hide the truth - that the core user interest declined. you see this sometimes with some other has-been holos like Haachama. mori had a brief tinge of a possible turnaround feeling being initially rather against the males and male collabs but I knew that was all just a farce, almost guaranteed forced by management themselves sick of her rebelling against literally everything for no reason.
now, factor in mori's decline with Bae, last in her gen in subs, never a big star with CCV etc. bae at least has not gotten to the point where it's very clear she hates some large portion of her fanbase but it's starting to crack with how she sounded absolutely condescending talking about her going into male collabs a few weeks ago. give it time and fauna will eclipse her even harder now. note that fauna and mumei lead the gen now and what do they do? give the fans what they want and don't try to pass bullshit in front of their faces.
