the japs didnt even acknowledge her yesterday
enna is obviously the best EN vsinger and arguably WW (i'm rarely impressed by JP idols personally though i do like some CN ones) but pomu's gotta be above average at least
not that i entirely mind. just another part of my kamioshi i can appreciate more for myself

I think so. I think having no orisong makes people overlook her, and while I'm not saying Finana has a worse voice, you can definitely argue who has the better one between the two. Elira is the one Lazulight that was automatically considered the best voice, and she was basically THE voice in NijiEN until Ethyria debuted.
Overall I think Millie, Enna and Elira have better voices, but Pomu can definitely hold her own. People love to say Reimu's voice is amazing, but I just don't see/hear why or how. I tried watching her (only?) English karaoke which was full of Disney bullshit and the bitch talked for like 6 minutes between songs, I just couldn't.

Pomu's singing is like Pomu in general. She's fun, she has fun herself, but she's not the best at it. Yeah sure Millie and Enna are amazing singers unironically don't know about Elira, never really watch her, but I can't imagine them singing the same song 101 times during 1 stream or even 3 times the same back to back just because she thinks it's fun and jokes with chat about it. And this wasn't the 1st time she did this.
Watching Pomu is just more fun.

Enna takes singing very seriously and doesn't really like having a lot of fun with (her idea of having fun is stuff like Roll that Dough).
Millie has abnormally low confidence in her voice, she doesn't think she's a good singer. I mean, I'd get that if she were Rosemi, but she has one of the best voices in EN and I personally found her song choice to be the best.
But yeah, even if Pomu's singing isn't the best, she finds ways to make something mundane or fucking borderline psychotic into a fun event.

Maybe I'm just blinded by Pomu being my kamioshi for over 2 years, but Pomu's voice just seems to have more... variations? compared to many of the other singers in NijiEN. And I don't mean Pomu's normal cute voice vs Pomura voice, but voices in between too. I don't to demean any of the others, they have good voices too, but whenever I, for example, listen to Elira singing, I always just think "This is Elira singing". Like, it sounds like normal Elira, but she's singing. Not much "variation". Kinda similar with Enna, she has her normal (weird) talking voice, and her amazing singing voice, but no matter what she sings, her singing voice always sounds the same to me. Is it just me? Am I blinded (or rather, deafened) by my love for Pomu? I don't know...
But anyway, I agree that Pomu's singing is above average and underappreciated. Her main areas that need improvement are reading lyrics better, and rolling with mistakes better (the latter she really has shown improvement on in the past year). But to me it seems that Pomu is hesitant to take singing seriously - it seems that she more wants to be goofy and have fun, instead of focusing and learning how to sing songs better.

Don't get your voices comment, but yeah, Pomu is definitely slept on in terms of singing. Pomu seems like the type that stresses over really minute details, which I can guess why it stops her from really immersing herself into music. I'm glad she at least recognizes she need to work on that perfectionism before going balls deep into music.
Speaking of, whatever happened to the Fushigi no Carte cover?
