>>32177335Slightly because I did a few tiny reps. Always dropped it because the thought of dealing with multiple kanji readings for thousands of kanji made Japanese seem like a retarded language cobbled together by a bunch of moronic mountain monkeys whose vtubers and elite political leaders can't even read it. For example...
>Ore no jintachi yo, Nihonhito ha honto omoshiroi desu neIn written Japanese, there's nothing wrong with that sentence. When you say it out loud, you sound like you're (just pretending to be) retarded.
It's sort of like chinese tones. In English, saying something is the same or THE same or the SAME are all understandable even if your eigo tones are a travesty and you accidentally use an offensive tone of voice. In chinese, you might accidentally call someone's mother a horse-fucking crack whore just because you didn't osmosis the ability to speak in and understand tones into your brain as a child. Oh, and apparently if you wanna expand your guangdong, they got like 6 or 7 tones for southern dialect. Sounds fun, amirite?
Once you actually look into pictographs, it makes you feel really good about using a phonetic language because even if you get it wrong, people can still reason out the word you're saying just from the sounds you're making. Fuck pictographs and tones. Japan needs to reform its language.
