I've taken a moment to process everything. Sorry, but here comes an autistic rant:
Let's face it, Rust absolutely sucked for Ame. What hurts me the most is that Ame knows she's a social autist and she genuinely tried to make more on-stream interactions. She streamed her PoV all the way through even though she originally planned to play off-stream. She build an entire Derby and planned a party complete with an electronic point system, a disco floor, and stocked up food. She even held the Derby right after Mori's peace party, and nobody showed up to Mori's peace party. Afterwards she tried to build the tallest tower she could so she could kill random people to start conflict, except she set up camp on the east side of the map when the actual war was happening on the right side of the map. The moment she found out a war was going on, she immediately went off to join, but too many roadblocks prevented her from doing so. Kiara accidentaly shot her car and destroyed her engine, making her run back home to pick up a new engine. Random mobs killed her at the worst times. Random Susan moments killed her stream multiple times.
Even the Rust client crashed and she had to wait to log back in. It was like God was preventing her from having fun. Despite everything, she took it in stride. She absolutely didn't have to give Kiara her bed for a quick respawn point to let her join in the fun, but she did it anyway. It's classic moment where Ame selflessness became a detriment. At that point she realized that she absolutely missed out. In her final moment of cope she decided that she just wanted to build a simple ramp and drive off a cliff before ending the stream. It was at that moment where Gura comes in to kill her. Gura, who was lucky enough to join the war early and enjoyed being in the thick of battle and was having the time of her life. Obviously, Gura was not at fault for what she did and had no idea what Ame was going through at the time, but watching from Ame's PoV made it seem like Gura was kicking Ame while she was down, and felt absolutely cruel. It was a culmination of everything that happened that broke Ame and made her lash out for a brief moment.
Now, even Ame knows it's just a dumb game of Rust and sent a tweet about it in clarity, so she's okay now. But it's amazing how absolutely nothing worked out for Ame. Her Watson Luck went full gear here. All the hard work she did preparing everything was all for nothing. If you're a Teamate who missed out on Rust and want to watch prime sufferkino, I encourage you to watch Ame's vod and become one with your oshi's pain.
