Not seeing a shit ton of difference here. I will admit HL does things on a larger scale and with greater focus on certain things. They do love their 3D concerts and the sports tournament thing (because Japanese high schools amirite?). They also do have a greater amount of resources for the animated videos you speak of (tho people profess Marine did hers herself) because they take money from their talents while VShojo doesn't.
VShojo's goal seems to be more about spreading vtubers and vtuber technology to a wider audfience and improving the technology of the girls and streaming in general. The stuff they're doing with Ping, Fugitech, and whatnot are all designed to make the streams run faster / smoother and the girls themselves are constantly pushing riggers into making better models and promoting talents who can increase face / mouth tracking software and such. Most of this is because Gunrun is a massive tech dork.
I don't see a crap ton of differences between the content both groups offer. The difference is in the individual streams and the mandated activities the talents have to participate in. VShojo tried doing those gameshows a bit ago but I don't think the girls were into it so they died off. The girls themselves come up with their own content, so a large tournament is harder to do if they don't all get together and organize it (or tell VShojo they want to do something like that and let VShojo organize it).
