That is where I’m tying in my argument that for the most part there are things that can’t be translated at all without losing all meaning.
Fansubbers from the old times knew that; they littered the anime they were translating with “translator notes” to fill the missing context.
Some retards did it too much tho, giving birth to “keikaku means plan” meme but the good ones knew when to leave something untranslated and explain it in some TL.
Clippers and even serious Holo subbers? As I said: good for that throwaway meme moment, garbage for anything serious or informative.
