That plus it feels like most EN fans, especially reddit/twitter subhumans, only got into Hololive Myth onward and by nature are going to be more of the casual anime-dub-watching-on-netflix types, that is if they even like anime at all period, who don't really find anything wrong with disregarding the entire structure/setup that got Hololive to their screens in the first place and propelled Myth to the heavens. They don't know what CGDCT even is as an idea and probably don't know what moe is.
They can't actually articulate in words what it is they like about Holo, which I fucking guarantee is the cute girls experience aka the "wholesome" angle. The traits/behaviors that idol culture encourages literally IS the wholesome. Anti-idol = anti-wholesome, full stop.
