>>32453449You guys ask the stupidest questions sometimes. Jesus. Okay. Lets just ignore all culls/ccvid/susan bullshittery for a second and get to the question of why they haven’t been able to capture viewers on a wider scale
First off, vtubing is and will forever be a niche in the West. Anime is still a huge stigma and is seen as cringe and laughable to majority of people. It’s so bad that many people who’re into these things, vtubers included, have to flat out hide it from family or friends. You are not turning on a vtuber song for people to listen to unless you know they’re also into the same shit. Period.
Second, EN has been practically 10 members for a year now, with 4 of them living on the opposite side of the world from the others. The reason why JPs get way more traction outside of the obvious shit is that their large cast and single timesone allows them to properly set up big collabs and hype events that can all be done in succession. It gives fans more to look forward to, like just now.
>Choco 3D live>Right into a big Among us collab>Funneling right into a Korone Lui offcollab horror game as it endsIt’s not that fans always have something to watch. It’s that fans have something to LOOK FORWARD to watching. When you build a system that rewards people with a ton of entertainment as they get time off to watch, it leaves people wanting to stick around.
So when you talk about EN, understand they’re literally almost 1/4th the size of JP. When EN3 rolls around you’ll get more streams and more collabs that people can look forward to
