Exactly, just like the normalfag audience that was willing to financially support the anime and manga industry in 2008 didn't exist, (Why pay high prices for anime dvd's or manga when you could just pirate that shit for free). Huge animation studios and the largest Japanese Production studio went under, because of that and other fuck-ups. JP Otaku industry learned their lesson and went back to prioritizing their own market. Both Niji and Hololive weren't keen to expand into the EN market, because of this.
