If you're visiting /vt/ for the first time, there's a huge chance you'd miss /hlgg/ entirely, it's a thread with no OP, no information, just a lot of posts which you'd likely not even notice, if you were checking /vt/ out for the first time, you'd like just go to your split of choice, and maybe click a drama thread or two with a clickbait picture. Again, think from a PoV besides your own.
Unfortunately this is also why drama splits continue to grow in popularity while /hlgg/ stays about the same
