Isn't it kinda sad how Youtube memberships are just supposed to be a means for content creators to get some monetary support from their viewers and optionally in return they make content that is similar to what they already do but just a bit of extra and exclusive, or its early content for members that they will make public a few days later.
Now though thanks to vtubers, its essentially become a way to fragment a part of their viewers to form a very loyal fanbase by having a place where they are "more real" and divulge more of their personal life/status. Even if you already watch most of their content enough to get the label of the fanbase name, you can't quite call yourself a "true fan", hell some of them even make a distinction between their fanbase themselves for members like Teamates vs Investigators for Ame's fanbase.
