Asian countries (especially Japan) definitely have a culture that, fortunately for us, breed these kinds of women, but there are a lot of female gamers and nerds aged 25-40 you rarely see in the west. Don't forget EU hags. When you consider how working from home has become normalized these days, it's hard to spot these women when you're out touching grass. Most women you see are the ones who make an effort to be seen. They're loud on social media and often extroverted and 16-25. For every woman you notice, there were probably 5 you didn't. One of those could be the single mother nerdy hag EN desperately needs.
They too would need to know about gaming and streaming culture to even hear of Hololive to apply, but vtubers are a big thing now. Something else to consider is if they get 10,000 applicants, if only ONE of those is a hag, her likelihood to get in is VERY high simply for being a hag. Hardly any will apply but those that do will almost instantly get in just for having 3 eggs left.
