I doubt there's any actual bad blood between the companies. Could just be that they haven't been able/arsed to set up cross-company permissions in ink. Both are japanese corpos, rigid about paperwork and anal about the details. On the JP side they would've had this stuff handled years ago, especially since early on in the industry's life it would've been a benefit to both, but since the EN branches both had JP branches to leech off from the start, they just haven't viewed it as a priority of any sort.

Hell, maybe there just plain isn't enough interest between the talent outside Kiara and Pomu to warrant it, and the EN management on either side is unwilling to push them into collabs they're not initiating themselves. Someone as reclusive as Gura might even be actively against it.

JP branches used to be a lot closer back in the day. I don't think that a lot has changed other than how much bigger they got, the companies have moved on but there's not a lot to regulate in the first place. Old connections mostly hold while newer ones are harder to form, sometimes weirdly so like Oshio's daughters. Plus the chink factor is a thing now but that probably mostly affects bigger events.

Nijisanji management is actively preventing it or are just completely incompetent that over a year later they still haven't gotten something.

But I doubt that's the case because everyone except EN can freely collab. ID can, JP can, CN could, etc. It's only nijiEN that's so heavily restricted.

Who'd gel with Ame? Mumei? Kronii? Have they ever had any form of cross-company contact at all? Just doesn't feel right.

As a Hololive fan, I would also like to point out that HoloEN hasn't collabed with anyone from NijiJP or NijiID yet either. However, this is probably due to NijiJP not having any interest in HoloEN and HoloEN mostly not being able to speak Japanese. The members of NijiID are probably better suited for collabs with HoloID, of which there have been a few that have already done so.

Also, keep in mind it's rare for HoloEN to collab with vtubers outside Hololive anyways. The only times that I can think of off the top of my head are Ironmouse's interview of Mori and Bae, Nyanners collab with Kiara, and Pikamee's collab with Ina.

Personally, while I wouldn't mind if a female member of NijiEN collabed with any of the HoloEN girls, I'm not really interested in it either. Honestly, the only collab that I enjoyed between a HoloEN and a non-Holomen was the Ina-Pikamee collab and I would like to see her collab with them more. It's just that Vshojo and NijiEN's culture is too different from HoloEN and their fanbases seem to have completely different interests as well.

They were not when the collab was announced. Ollie still has twice the amount of subs as Selen despite getting less viewers now. And it was before Luxiem and their Chinese fanbase was a thing, so the China rrat is even weaker in this case. It was blocked by the hololive upper management.

Ollie's management is the same in both cases. It's selens management that is different than the precedent.
The simplest reasoning is selens management is the problem otherwise you're making mental gymnastics about holoJP going to holoID to specifically axe a collab but only for nijiEN while still allowing NijiID and any EN Corp outside of nijiEN.
Meanwhile we can just watch a niji stream and watch them dance around hololive like it's a plague.

This is most likely the main cause, coupled with Holo management being very "closed off" lately. Neither side seems interested in working out any collab, and there's no reason for Niji to even reach out or bother negotiating anything, and it's The Japanese Way to just "be safe" and avoid things altogether.

No, Ironmouse also had Mori and Chammers on her talk show a few days before Kson and Nazuna were announced. Not sure they had any more public exchanges since then but it's not like they collab often enough to sound weird in the first place.
The thing about the Coco collab ban was supposedly to shield the EN members from chinks attacks, and they will still avoid her, never said they won't. While the thing about Ina doesn't make much sense considering she was present at her graduation, but even if true it would be a RM thing that would not concern Hololive.

NijiID is not and will never be a part of NijiJP. They've been incorporated into Nijisanji, not NijiJP. They are managed by different staff and are mostly contained to interacting within their own group.
Therefore, NijiID is a useful term used to specify you are refering to the Indonesian talents of Nijisanji and not the Japanese ones.
