>>33163576Actors of any other medium want to be as well known as the characters they play, thats how they make money and do their job, knowing the actors personal life as much as the characters they play is the point, VTubers use their characters as the mask to separate their real lives and their jobs, even the ones that are quite open about their real lives are still choosing to use an avatar to remain anonymous, so while talking about a vtubers real life should be fine as long as it is info the vtuber has been open with (if they want to cover up something they feel is to personal they should be able too do so, as long as it isn't a crime or some shit) most want their lives to be completely separate.
Short answer: banning all IRL talk eliminates doxing, even if some vtubers are lax with their identity its better to be safe than sorry.
