yes. You can write off business expenses. That's one of the most basic things about taxes.
If you couldn't everything would get taxed at every step of the production pipeline, which would heavily disincentivize the division of labor that's fundamental to a free market economy.
If I were to buy a sandwich, I wouldn't just pay for the ingredients, labor, profit margin and general business expenses, but I would also pay tax on the ingredients multiple times since the sandwich vendor would've also had to pay taxes on those ingredients and will obviously pass those expense down to his customers.
