Due to her childhood beliefs and the way she lived in her family she grew the belief that she had to sacrifice herself for others and that she is responsible for other's happiness.
This is incorrect.
Everyone is only responsible for their own happiness and it is impossible to help others against their will.
Kson, you are not responsible for your parent's happiness, only for your own happiness.
Everyone chooses their own life and unfortunately many people prefer to let their past dictate their life and to live an unhappy life.
They do this because changing their belief is perceived like suicide or killing their own god.
Few are able to change their beliefs and it is usually the result of great suffering.
Don't try to change people and help them when they are the ones who caused their own issues.
The only time you can genuinely help someone is when they decide to change and ask for help, and this only happens after a traumatic experience.

If you still wish to change others then become a role model for others through self improvement and make them think "maybe my life could be better if I tried to learn from kson".
When you try to help people against their what you achieve is the opposite and prevent them from learning from their own mistakes.
